A Case of Pneumatocale Associated with Fscherichia Coli Empyema

Abstract

|
In pediatric age, most prevalent causative organism of empyema with pneumatocelc is Snpylococcus, but recently we experienced a case of E. coli empyema with pneumatocele ir- 9 month old boy, who had history of sudden dyspnea with high fever, cyanosis and diarrhea.
He was treated successfully with Gentamycin and closed surgical chest drainage.
We report this case with brief review of literature.
